Watch a tour of our lab space, including tissue culture demonstration and footage of visualization of cells through the microscope. UCSF scientists will answer questions about what it’s like to do research science. We’ll include a brief video illustration of what cell division is (our lab research topic), and a live presentation of some of our lab’s data and demonstration of microscope imaging.

The Dumont Lab is interested in how cells coordinate mechanical and chemical activities to accurately segregate chromosomes during cell division. How do cells generate, detect and respond to mechanical force to equally distribute their genetic material when they divide?
